Au Naturel 2 - Schumacher Launch

Last night I got to see the latest Schumacher collection, presented by Jenifer Stern, the US Export Manager.

The collection  is made up from a neutral color palette and builds on the orignal collection, which was very sucessful. The collection has a focus on fashion-forward denims and indigos, these earthy, elegant fabrics are available in an extensive range of complementary wovens, sheers, embroideries, and prints.

I found Jenifer's presentation very interesting as she imparted  information on the weaving process of the fabrics, as well as stories about the people designing, weaving and embroidering the fabrics. Below are some of the fabrics I liked from the collection:

You really need to see these fabrics in person to appreciate there beauty.

GP Baker - latest collection

Got to see the latest offering from GP & J Baker, yesterday. Great collection - back to their classic prints. Baker use their archive prints and re-scale and re-colour and as well as the tradtional options, it makes the fabrics very NOW. Very impressed with the collections of 2013 to date...lots of colour.

Martyn Lawrence Bullard

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to meet , the charming Martyn Lawrence Bullard yesterday, as he talked about him latest fabric collection and its inspiration at Tigger Hall. I was very excited and Martyn took time to sign his book and have a chat with everyone. Martyn appears on the TV show - Million Dollar Decorators and has done interiors for the Osborne's, Cher and Elton John to name a few.

Martyn has developed a range of stunning hand blocked fabrics, with inspiration drawn from his travels - exotic locations such as Morocco, Turkey and India. He has recently developed a range of fragrances and series 2 of Million Dollar Decorator is being filmed now... He was delightful and very charismatic and it was wonderful to hear about his inspiration.

There are some great quiky wallpapers again - stacked trucks, ends of logs and shutters, some of which are pictured above.

John Robshaw Fabrics

Just saw the more wonderful collection of bespoke hand block printed fabrics by John Robshaw Fabrics, in a studding group of colour palettes - pink, indigo and red. These fabrics are wonderful together and are hand block printed in India.

John Robshaw works with various workshops in India, where he travels several months out of the year to oversee production, experiment with new dyeing and printing techniques, and to work alongside the artisans creating the fabrics.

Great designs that can work anywhere....
Check out the John Robshaw website for all the designs.

Peter Osborne - O&L

Last night I had the pleasure of meeting Peter Osbourne - co-founder of Osborne & Little and seeing him present the lastest O&L Collection. The Collection comprises of four stylish ranges called Xanadu, Grand Tour, Athlone and Karavansara.
  • Xanadu includes three designs featuring velvet appliqué silhouetted on linen grounds. These include a trellis of interlacing braids, lilies with contrasting embroidery detail and swirling arabesque leaves.

  • Athlone is a collection of checks, gingham, tartan and stripes in a variety of qualities ranging from warm wool upholsteries to cool linen and cotton curtain fabrics.

  • Karavansara is made up of an exotic and elegant collection of silks and embroideries evocative of trade routes. It features large-scale decorative paisley motifs embellished with subtle flashes of metallic yarn on linen grounds, geometric silk jacquards and a grand scrolling leaf damask.

  • Grand Tour - an eclectic mix of prints and wallpapers
