Time for a change
Window changeover this morning, simple but letting the delightful fabric from Mokum speak. Great hand painted feel to this Chinese Willow china pattern.
Yet to work out the best way to take a photo through a window and avoid all the cars in the reflection.

Window Display
Here are some images of my latest window display. About to change it over but thought it was worth taking some photo's.

I love this Designers Guild fabric - great scale design in fab colours.
These are a couple of pictures I made with Nina Campbell wallpaper - making the butterflies look like they are flying away. Great way to make inexpensive art for the walls.

Bloomingdales - Big Window Challange
Bloomingdales in New York held a "Big Window Challange" and invited 3 designers to create windows using furniture and decor from the store. The public then voted on their favorite room. Below are the three rooms and the inspiration....

DESIGNED BY Eddie Ross for Elle DecorDESIGNED FOR A media mogul and mother of two
INSPIRED BY The signature space shimmers with a mix of classic and modern, new and old, together with a balance of bold patterns and vibrant colors. A spatter-paint print, like stars in an endless sky, reflects the owner's love of travel to wide-open spaces, and her passion for sparkling evenings at home entertaining friends and family.
DESIGNED FOR A sophisticated travel magazine editor

DESIGNED BY Maxwell Gillingham-RyanDESIGNED FOR Amor
INSPIRED BY The Writer's Library, inspired by my friend, Amor, is a dark, bookish den in which a romantic dinner has been surprisingly set for a female guest. The room is piled high with books and features items that may have come from far off travels. The side walls are painted faux bookcases for this display and inspired by the Studiolo at the MET. The room decor centers on the large, leather Ralph Lauren chair, the memorable Neisha Crosland wallpaper and accessories from Michele Varian with her funky, steampunk style.
And the winner is.... The modern woman by Eddie Ross

Cup Carnival
One cannot help but be inspired by the Melbourne Cup carnival...the fashion, hats, roses and the horses. My latest window display @ A Blind Pash Interiors has been insipred by the cup. A couple of Nina Campbell fabrics, including this stunning silk stripe in the colours of jockey silks, is complemented by a vase of roses from my garden.
