Came across these images in a recent H&G magazine. Love the outdoor spaces and the view from the interior dining room out in to the garden. Makes the outdoors come in.

Pastel Bedroom

Came across this image of a little girls room. Love the soft mauve walls and the bold wallpaper and fabric used for the blinds. Incorporating the bench seat and desk area into the window alcoves is a great space saver.

Somewhere over the Rainbow

It was one of my nieces 15th birthday last night and several weeks ago, she started talking about these amazing rainbow cakes she saw on tumblr. Funnily I had just seen Anna Spiro's post here with detailed making instructions here so I thought I would attemp the cake as a surprise.

Basic recipe is easy, its just time consuming as I baked in batches (only 4 cake tins) and kept my fingers crossed.

The cake was a great success and all my nieces loved it..... I got a round of applause for the cake. My only worry is that I may have started something.....

McQueen

Here are a couple of photo's I took of the windows from Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge, London. The windows were a tribute to the late Alexander McQueen and these dress were amazing...the detail was incredible. Several of the dresses were constructed from individual feathers, breathtaking.

Stylists Guide to NYC

Sibella Courts second book, The stylist's guide to NYC is a great follow up to Etcetera. Beautifully presented Sibella outlines her favorite stores, markets are survival tips - picked up while a stylist in NY for over 10 years. Had this book given to me before I went away and I can't wait to sit down and read from cover to cover. With a cold, long weekend, it looks like lighting the fire and reading are top of the list.

Lastest Manuel Canovas

Manuel Canovas are known for their colourful, vibrant collections and the newest collection is no exception. Saw this collection while in the UK and can not wait to get my hands on it here.Here are some of my favorite images of the collection......love it....love it.
