Latest H&G
There is a lovely interior featured on the cover of the latest House and Garden magazine. This lovely Queensland house had the interiors designed by Lily-G (a fellow blogger) and its fresh, fun and inviting with a soft colour palette used throughtout of greens and blues teamed with plenty of crisp white. Check it out in the new H&G.

Bold vibrant interior
Love these interiors of Sydney artist Dorryce Rock - featured in an old copy of H&G that I just came across again today. Dorryce loves bold, feminine colours so custom mixed a pinky red for the walls teamed with a grape carpet. Her interior features many of her paintings and it all
works.... I also love the injection of lime green on the cushions and ottoman and the collection of candlestick is stunning.

John Robshaw Fabrics
Just saw the more wonderful collection of bespoke hand block printed fabrics by John Robshaw Fabrics, in a studding group of colour palettes - pink, indigo and red. These fabrics are wonderful together and are hand block printed in India.
John Robshaw works with various workshops in India, where he travels several months out of the year to oversee production, experiment with new dyeing and printing techniques, and to work alongside the artisans creating the fabrics.

Classic Kitchen
Love this kitchen by Canadian designer, Sarah Richardson. The colour scheme for the room was inspired by the glass tile back splash with white paint on the cabinets and Robin's Egg on the island. Lino floor tiles reinforce the colour palette of soft blue, pale yellow and silver.

Pencil Art
How amazing are these. Dalton Ghetti does really sharp work - on a tiny scale. The American artist creates impossibly detailed miniature sculptures on the tip of a pencil. "I'm known as the pencil guy," laughed Ghetti, 49. "I don't mind that at all."
He works as a carpenter and carves pencils in his free time - often putting in just an hour or so before his eyes get tired.

Patchwork DG
How great is this patchwork seat cushions made from left over pieces of Designers Guild fabrics. I came across this on a NZ blog called "Small Acorns: The niceties of life" and had to post the image. Small Acorns is a boutique store in Wellington New Zealand and the blog is a sharing of inspiration. Worth a look.

The delightful William Yeoward
Last week I had the pleasure of meeting William Yeoward and see him present his latest collection for an intimate group of designers. He was absolutely lovely, had a great sense of humor and his latest collection of hand woven fabrics "or 100 stripes" as he called it was great. He gave us an in sight into his life by showing a slide show of his home in the Cotswold's and his apartment in London, both of which are featured in his latest book - William Yeoward At Home. His homes are an eclectic mix of fabrics, art and collections....he loves to shop......
His latest fabric collection called Polperro inspired by William's upbrining - being raised by the sea, sailing and fishing - helped him create a collection of woven stripes, prints and wallpapers that reflect the England that he loves.

Time for Bed
The lastest issue of H&G arrived today and featured an article on bedding. Here are a couple that stood out.
I love the stricking black and white with the vibrant pink walls highlighting the vintage french adverts - the Sheridan Lutece Tulle quilt cover is a winner.
I love the tongue and groove timber walls and the chartreuse velvet comforter with the pom poms, teamed with the flower, chevromn and stripes.

Romo Collection
Last week, one of Romo's designers,Joanna Jeffrey, was in Australia to present the latest Romo and Zinc Textiles collections. The evening was held at Carousel in Albert Park and it was a great venue, looking over the lake towards the city. Here are some photo's of Joanna presenting the collection and below are some of my favourites.....
