Designers Guild Rugs

Delivered this stunning Designers Guild Rug to a client today and it looks amazing. We selected some WOW fabrics to recover a pair of silver gilt french chairs....a job for the new year, but can't wait to see the room come together.

New Designers Guild

The latest Designers Guild fabric collection was recently release and the hero fabric is Kimono Blossom (pictured above). The collection is inspired by Japanese watercolours and inspiration is drawn floral designs painted on soft linens and cottons.

There is also great collection of prints, ticking stripes and checked linens, called Country, evoking the fresh air, blue skys and simplicity of the countryside (as per the image below).

Latest Designers Guild

Got to see the latest Designers Guild collection last week. Here are some of the advertising photo's of the Amrapali Collection - inspired by a journey through India with exotic gardens, birds of paradise and Jacaranda trees. Shades of aqua, blue, turquoise mixed with splashes of magenta, chartreuse and cobalt are all represented in the colour palette.

Tricia Guild has recently restored a lovely Tuscan Farmhouse, in signature Designers Guild style and its now on the market. I love the gardens and the interior has been left rustic, with splashes of vibrant colour.

Patchwork DG

How great is this patchwork seat cushions made from left over pieces of Designers Guild fabrics. I came across this on a NZ blog called "Small Acorns: The niceties of life" and had to post the image. Small Acorns is a boutique store in Wellington New Zealand and the blog is a sharing of inspiration. Worth a look.

I had the chance to see the latest Designers Guild collection at a small morning tea presenation last week, nothing better than seeing new and exciting collections with other designers and enjoying coffee and cake.

Here are a couple of images of the latest designs, which included stunning silks, weaves and wallpapers. There are some great panel designs in both the wallpaper and fabric.

I will have a display in tnhe shop soon and will post picture once its installed.

A Certain Style

To celebrate her four decades at the forefront of interior design, Tricia Guild presents a collection of international locations decorated with her latest & arguably most beautiful designs, in her latest book (available in October 2010).

According to Tricia, this is no retrospective, she never looks back, but is a confident statement encapsulating everything that is memorable about her, certain, style.

Can't wait to get my copy when it is released.
