Zimmer and Rohde

Went to a presentation last night at Mokum and saw the new Zimmer and Rohde and Ardecora collections. Some great fabrics presented by Manfred Rusche, International Sales manager of Zimmer in Germany. Ardecora was luxurious and very stunning and there were also some great fabrics in the Zimmer collection as well.

Pierre Frey Showroom in Paris

Earlier in the year Pierre Frey opened a new showroom in Paris in the Rue du Mail and here are a couple of images of the interior of the showroom, hightlighting their stunning fabrics.

Love the fabric animals poking out of the large fabric drops - very clever......

Versatile dragon

Chiang Mai Dragon pops up everywhere. It's a very versatile fabric and here are two images from the lastest Vogue Living showing that it works in all types of interiors.

According to Tricia, this is no retrospective, she never looks back, but is a confident statement encapsulating everything that is memorable about her, certain, style.

Re-upholstery

Just delivered a couple of antique pieces back to a client, after they have been re-upholstered.They look great and my client was thrilled with the end result.

Artist - Hannah Bertram

In the lastest Vogue Living, there is a article on artist Hannah Bertam called "Gathering Dust" Hannah is an artist who creates dust installations....and they are amazing.

The patterns created on the above verandah only lasted a couple of hours, as its was walked on by 120 guests at a cocktail party and was created using marble dust.

These stencils were used to decorate a table with Florence Broadhurst wallpaper patterns using cigarette ash collected by the homeowner.

Contemporary and cosy

Came across this image in a magazine and thought it captured a contemporary interior that was cosy. Love the wall colour, the modern art mixed with the Aubusson rug and best of all the crochet rug...reminds me of my grandmother.....

Sandberg fabric collection

I had the chance to see the new Sandberg fabric collection yesterday and here are some images of some of the fabrics. Sandberg is a Swedish based fabric where the designers create tomorrow´s classics by combining innovative colour and style with classical styles that have stood the test of time. They draw our inspiration from books, travel, nature, exhibitions and everything else around us.

Its a fun and quicky collection, with some great designs in fabrics and wallpapers.

Happy Birthday

It's my wonderful husbands birthday today (to avoid embarrassing him, I will not mention the exact number), so I'm taking him out to dinner tonight to Bistro Thierry, for some fabulous french food.

We have a weekend of celebrations to follow, with family over Sunday for a bbq lunch. Looking forward to a weekend with family and friends, good food and great company.
