Beach Cottage
How cute is this beach cottage in Long Island in the US. The owner is a sculptor, and you can see her creative influence in the interior. Great mix of colours and lots of elements all coming together to create an eclectic space.

The Stables
Came across and article on The Stables @ Stones of the Yarra Valley. The original stables have been painstakingly restored and can now entertain up to 55 guests in style. Complete with bare brick walls, rustic timbers and original features and set amongst the most beautiful manicured lawns and walkways. Reclaimed timber has been used throught and I love the overall feel of the interior, its very inviting.

Looks can be deceiving....
Every year one of the local schools runs an open house scheme in the Hawthorn, Kew area and this year this house in Kew was featured. This unimposing Victorian weatherboard is hiding a secret....an ultra modern extension. The interior of the house is the epitome of an ultra-cool, inner-urban design aesthetic. With its minimalist colour palette of black and white, the owners run an interior design business and specialise in internal and external window furnishings. When they bought the house in 2007, squatters had been in residence, and it was in a dilapidated state. Look at it now - all original period design features, such as cornicing and skirting boards were removed giving the house sharp, clean lines throughout. Lastest Etamine collection
Came across the stunning images of fabrics from the new Etamine collection. Haven't seen it in the flesh yet, but I love the vibrant colours.
Etamine takes us on a voyage around the world discovering sophisticated ethnic cultures and exploring islands of paradise.... now doesn't that make you want to travel.
