New fabric snapshot
Here are some new fabrics that caught my attention last week - new releases from Duralee, Warwick and Soliel Bleu.
Pinks, chartreuse and kelly green combinations in contemporary florals with geometrics and damasks.
Wild prints - birds and baskets.....
Great embriodered floral and stripes on linen.

Plat du jour
What's not to love about a plate collection. Here are two great examples of how this can work in today's interiors. Love the trellis wallpaper featured in the second image, one of my favourites when the room overlooks the garden.
Enjoy the long weekend!!!

Alhambra Collections
Along with the kids collection, I mentioned yesterday, Alhambra also released a collection of 4 books - Timeless, Sacha, Kimu and Sensai.
These collections are very innovative and there are many digital prints, but Alhambra have managed to bring great depth to the printing, creating textures, with in the prints, making the fabrics look like weaves.
Here are a couple of the designs:

BAM BAM
Alhambra, a wonderful Spanish fabric house, this week launched their new Kids collection and its a good one. Designs that cover all ages - using motifs like boats, little houses, numbers, flowers and classic stripes and dots. There are some great patchwork and quilted fabrics and embroideries, that are cosy and comforting.

Linwood - latest collection
Just saw the latest Linwood collection from the UK. Its a collection of antiqued, timeworn floral prints on cotton velvet and linen union float alongside rich silk damasks, lace and embroidery for an eclectic, vintage feel with a knocked-back romantic aesthetic.
Inspired by original vintage fabrics from the 19th Century, these rich designs have been recreated using modern printing techniques to capture the confidence and optimism of the Fin de Siecle period.
Fin de siècleis French for "end of the century. The term sometimes encompasses both the closing and onset of an era, as it was felt to be a period of degeneration, but at the same time a period of hope for a new beginning.
