The Convent

Last year I worked again with my stylist friend on the function room at Abbottsford Convert. Its a large reception space, perfect for weddings and was taken over by Bursaria (previously at Como). We needed to update the space and had some custom lighting fixtures commissioned, designed cabinetry, installed mirrors and new doors and furnished the courtyard. Martyn Lawrence Bullard

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to meet , the charming Martyn Lawrence Bullard yesterday, as he talked about him latest fabric collection and its inspiration at Tigger Hall. I was very excited and Martyn took time to sign his book and have a chat with everyone. Martyn appears on the TV show - Million Dollar Decorators and has done interiors for the Osborne's, Cher and Elton John to name a few.

Martyn has developed a range of stunning hand blocked fabrics, with inspiration drawn from his travels - exotic locations such as Morocco, Turkey and India. He has recently developed a range of fragrances and series 2 of Million Dollar Decorator is being filmed now... He was delightful and very charismatic and it was wonderful to hear about his inspiration.

QLD Project - Images Part 2

Couple more images from the QLD Oracle Project, that I mentioend yesterday. A week of every hard week for me, selecting and placing the furniture, before it was styled by the gorgeous Olivia Sparks. We laughed and we cried......good times indeed.

QLD Project - Images

Last last year, I worked on a project in Broadbeach with my gorgeous friend Olivia, who is a stylist. We had 5 apartments to furnish for an advertising campaign (print, website, video etc) ranging from a 1 bedroom to the penthouse. Earl Carter, a well known and respected photographer did an amazing job on the shot and here are a couple of images...... you would not believe the work that went into this week......it was crazy but well worth the effort.

Collections 2012 - Villa Nova

Finished the week off with a lovely collection from Villa Nova - Indienne. A collection that combines traditional hand blocked print with intricate embroidery and includes the classic tree of life designs. Great colour palettes coming through, but my favourite had to be the once pictured above, indigo blue wood blocking with chartreuse embroidery - love it.....

Alfresco Living

Love this outdoor living area - the crisp white with splashes of orange, pink, purple and magenta is stunning. The hints of green from the garden keep the space grounded and I could imagine myself sitting there all weekend with a good book and an ipad.....
