New Collections

Lucky its school holidays and quieter, so I was able to spend the day seeing new fabric collections.

1. Warwick
Started the morning with a breakfast presentation by Cameron Warwick, showcasing they latest releases. Some great value product and some exciting prints with an oriental theme coming through.

2. Elliott Clarke - Designs of the Times
A collection of linens from Belgium, with a tribal influence , except my favourite, this floral and paisley combination

3. Ascraft Textiles
Selection of new releases over a couple of brands with some highlights, pink and orange combinations by John Robshaw and new designs by Lisa Fine

Finished the day with the new Romo collection, but I leave that until tomorrow.

Kravet - Jonathan Adler

Saw a great new collatoration with Kravet and US designer Jonathan Adler yesterday. The collection reflects Adler’s colorful approach to design with linen and velvet featuring bright colors, modernist forms, bold graphic patterns and embroidery. Geometric, abstract and contemporary linear patterns, in a range of both vivid colors and neutrals. I'm not saying I could live with a room designed top to toe in these prints but as accents they are fabulous....

Katherine Rally Textiles

Just saw the lastest designed from Katherine Rally. Katherine lived in Bali and designed Batik style fabrics,as the images below show. Love the simplicity of these fabrics construction and printing method, but they are vibrant and graphic.

Mandarin & Mint

I'm seeing quite a few interiors coming throught using Mandarin and mint or  stronger shades of turquoise.
Pairing these complementary hues on the color wheel, creates eye-catching interiors and brightens up the space.

Splash of colour

I'm having an internal fight with myself at the moment...RED or FUSCHIA high gloss front door. My husband was dead against the pink and was happy with the red, but I think I have talked him into the FUSCHIA......

Look foreard to posting some before and after photo's of the exterior colours. Its looking great and should be complete by the end of the week.....now that the wasp nest has been removed, but thats another story.

Awash with colour

Driving past "The Works" this morning and had to stop and get some photo's of their latest window displays - awash with colour - from cushions, bedding, glassware and accessories, the windows are a feast for the sensors. Please excuse my reflective photos.

First impressions

Entrance Halls - here are some images of entrance halls from houses for sale in my local area. Notice something about them? All very neutral....where is the colour? When are we going to stop playing it so safe and have some fun. Think of ideas for my hallway (hoping to do some work on it over the Chrtistmas break, so I will keep the blog updated with my thoughts and ideas.

Pink and Orange

Loving the colour combination of pink and orange at the moment. Fun, cheerful and a great option for girls bedrooms when teamed with crisp white.

One of my favorite calming colours. A watery dreamy grey blue with a slight green tinge. Combine with browns from milk chocolate to dark chocolate and cream

- With ivory, dark chocolate and a pop of cherry red

- With charcoal grey and dark plummy red

- With dark navy blue, white

- With dark greyed green and terracotta

- With cream and a pop of orange

- With cream, mid pink and touches of milk chocolate

Works in traditional and contemporary interiors.
